New 4Legs Home Cooked packaging

Have you checked out 4Legs Home Cooked Dog Food in the new stylish 900g trays? Not only is the new tray more durable and reliable than the previous bag - keeping your favourite dog food fresher for longer, but the new front panel window means even more of the scrumptious home cooked food is visible, so you can see every nutritious morsel. And this new tray makes it much easier and cleaner to scoop out the food for your beloved 4-legged friend.

Look for the new trays appearing in a supermarket near you from early February 2006.

We would love to hear your feedback. Let us know what you think of 4Legs food and our new packaging at contact@4legs.com.au.

Vitamins in the diet

This month we bring you our final instalment to our Fundamentals of Dog and Cat Nutrition, focussing on Vitamins in the diet

“Guess what? Your mum was right all this time. Vitamins are essential (in small amounts) for the maintenance of animal life. There are two types of vitamins: fat-soluble (vitamins A, D, E and K) and water-soluble (vitamin B complex and vitamin C)"

If you would like any further information on this topic or would like to ask our animal nutritionist a question, please email contact@4legs.com.au.

Dogabout.com.au Update

DOGABOUT
Well, following a fantastic launch in November and December, dogabout Walk Leaders are back in business for 2006 with another two walks booked and another couple to be confirmed in the next week or so.

If you haven’t heard about dogabout, check it all out at dogabout.com.au. It’s a new website designed to help dog-owners meet other dog owners and socialise their dogs within their local area. It’s a great way to make new friends, get active, stay fit and of course, socialise your dog! So far all our walkers (human and canine alike!) have relished the opportunity to meet and make new friends in their local area and get in some exercise at the same time!

If you would like to come along to one of our walks, just visit dogabout.com.au and register your attendance. There are absolutely no costs involved and you even get a free gift for registering, as well as a free pack of 4Legs home cooked dog food for every dog that attends. We hope to see you there!

If you can’t find a walk in an area convenient to you, you can still register and we’ll let you know once a Walk Leader is set up in your community. Or if you are passionate about dogs, community and getting active, you could consider becoming a Walk Leader yourself!

To find out more about anything to do with the dogabout program, visit www.dogabout.com.au or email contact@dogabout.com.au

Your Queries Answered!

If you have a query that you would like answered, email us or go to our contact page on the 4Legs website.

Q. I have just purchased your product for the first time from the supermarket this week, however I just wanted to check, do I have to re-cook it or heat it up before I feed it to my dogs? Lara, Essendon, Victoria

A. 4Legs Home Cooked dog food is ready to serve as you purchase it. The product is gently pre-cooked with steam (to preserve all the precious heat-sensitive vitamins and minerals) and can be served straight from your fridge to the bowl. The only exception would be if you find that your dog does not like to eat food cold. In this instance, simply place it in your microwave for 20-30 seconds just to remove the chill from the food and then serve it up!

You can find out more about 4Legs products by visiting our Dog Food and Cat Food pages on the 4Legs website. If you have another query that you would like answered, email us at contact@4legs.com.au or go to our contact us page on the 4Legs website.
